Contemporary Saxophone in Four Voices

$10Saxophonist Daniel Sclafani performs an exciting program by modern composers on all the soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones.

Daniel Sclafani is a saxophonist and educator with a special interest in contemporary solo and chamber music. This interest has been focused on performing and recording lesser-known contemporary and avant-garde compositions for solo saxophone. Daniel holds a Masters in Saxophone Performance from Rutgers University where he studied with Paul Cohen. Previously, he received his B.M. in Music Education with Performance Honors from Syracuse University where he studied with Ronald Caravan. In 2013, he had the unique opportunity to study abroad at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg where his primary teachers were Philippe Geiss and Christophe Fourmaux. Recently, Daniel has attended the 2021 Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, Darmstadt studying contemporary music with Marcus Weiss. Currently, Daniel teaches instrumental music grades 4-12 in upstate New York, and continually performs new music.
